ALL-STAR ISSUE Part 2
McCABE MAGAZINE MIDSUMMER AWARDS
Atlanta, GA (McC.com)
– We’re live at the 38th annual All-Star Game from Turner Field in Atlanta,
Georgia. Before we unveil the McCabe Magazine Midsummer Award winners we would like to thank our gracious host, Atlanta Brave All-Stars Andrew Campbell (3rd All-Star appearance) and Tex Brown (1st All-Star appearance) for taking time out of their busy schedules to take our staff out for lunch and for giving us a tour of Turner Field and the Braves front offices. We would like
to point out that during our tour owner franknterry refused to meet with us. According Campbell and Brown, the owner said he would be available to meet some media folks prior to the game however, when he
found out those folks were from McCabe Magazine the tone of his availability
changed from “yes” to a “maybe.” After several minutes of knocking on franknterry's door one of his clerical
staff, a young lady dressed in a very short mini skirt, identifying herself as Cinnamon, the owners executive assistant informed us the owner
wasn’t available to speak with McCabe Magazine. Security was called and we were escorted off the premises.
Later that evening franknterry was spotted leaving the office in his Ford Taurus and was asked by a Sporting News online reporter "what's the deal with McCabe Magazine?" The owner replied "they never feature us,.. have you every read a piece about anything Atlanta in that rag?,... the answer is NO,.. NEVER!!! screw em,.. now get outta my way before I run your ass over."
Nether the less we had a great time and the players Campbell and Brown, were great host, thanks again fellows and enjoy the game.
