OWNER of the YEAR SEASON 25

OWNER/ORGANIZATION of SEASON 25

Listed below you will find the Robert E. McCabe Magazine Owner/Organization of the Year Award Winner and our Owner Power Rankings. This year we at McCabe Magazine will award organizations bonus points for winning the World Series and Pennant at each level. In addition, the owner will receive points for total wins at every level, winning the Division title, and for making the playoffs as a Wildcard. The Owner with the most points will receive the McCabe Magazine Owner of the Year Award. We here at McCabe Magazine feel that a good owner should maintain a solid farm system and a winning major league club. His big league club should be in position to win the division and one or more of the lower level squads should be in position to capture a minor league World Series title. The Owner of the Year should field competitive teams at every level.

Each team will receive one point for each win and BONUS POINTS as followed: ML Division Winner 100 points, Wildcard 75, AAA Division Winner 50 points, AAA Wildcard 30, AA Division Winner 40, AA Wildcard 20, High A Division Winner 30, High A Wildcard 15, Low A Division Winner 20, Low A Wildcard 10. SEASON 26 PREDICTIONS

YES, WE'RE BACK

THE ANAHEIM ANGELS WIN SEASON 26 WORLD SERIES

COLORADO ROCKIES go down in 7 games Angels win The ROBERT E McCABE TROPHY

Cleveland, OH (McC) The Anaheim Angels have finished the regular season with the best record in baseball the last two seasons (24, 25), and finished with the second best record in seasons 22 and 23, winning the World Series in 23. The Angels pitching staff is the best we’ve seen since seasons 20 and 21 San Diego Padres, which had 3 twenty (20) game winners and 1 fifteen (15) in each season. The ace of Anaheim’s staff is 9 time CY Young award winner Vince Garcia. He lacks velocity however he has a curveball, 4-seam fastball, and a slider that he works the strike zone with precision control. Garcia has a career 2.50 ERA in his 14 year major league career amassing 523 starts. Adam Bradford is the number 2 starter on the staff. This 26 year-old out of Fairview, Montana and former 1st round selection has a career 2.66 ERA in 4 major league seasons in 137 starts. Filling out the rotation is Toby Greinke (15-7) and Shea Cross (14-12). Players to watch are Diego Albaladejo (LF), Terry Bonds (RF), and Angel Rosado (2B).

The Rockies Battering RAM

The Rockies won the National League West last year for the first time in team history, finishing second in the division in seasons 23 and 24. The Rockies pack a hell of a punch with the sticks, scoring the most runs in baseball the past 6 seasons. They are led by season 25 MVP Hersh Mays (47 HR, 120 RBI, 379 BA, 1.185 OPS), Rookie of the Year Johnny Diaz (43 HR, 139 RBI, 316 BA, 944 OPS), Luis Mesa (61 HR, 145 RBI, 289 BA, 1.009 OPS) Clarence Carver (46 HR, 135 RBI, 310 BA, 981 OPS), and Eddie Turner (38 HR, 105 RBI, 318 BA, 971 OPS). All five noted players were season 25 All-Stars and in our expert opinion will carry them to their first National League Pennant. Colorado’s pitching staff had a team ERA of 5.53 at home, 4.17 on the road, for a combined 4.87 enough said.

McCabe Predictions

The Angels knockoff the Toronto Blue Jays to win the American League Pennant and the Rockies take down the San Diego Padres for the National League Pennant. The AL division winners will be Toronto, New York Yankees, Houston Astros, and the Angels. In the NL we like the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves, and the Padres. Our Wildcard winners are Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Rockies, and the Chicago Cubs.

Season 25 Final Major League Wrap Up

SAN DIEGO PADRES SEASON 25 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS

Padres and Post-Season MVP Mike Harper (SP) Sweeps the Heavily Favorite Anaheim Angeles

Detroit, MICH (McC) – In the most SHOCKING World Series in recent memory, the San Diego Padres (96-66) swept the Anaheim Angels (112-50) in a series believed to be on paper the mismatch of the century. The Padres were unfairly in Mike Harper (R) (5-1, 201 OAV, 1.00 Whip, 2.34 ERA) came to the party with a broom and dust pan, and left with a World Series Ring.
stalled as a 200-1 underdog by McCabe Magazine’s online gambling site and the MGM Sportsbook.  McCabe Magazine’s Playoff Most Valuable Player, San Diego starting pitcher

The defending champion, Anaheim was our preseason choice to win season 25 World Series, and after dominating the American League with 112 wins the Robert E. McCabe trophy was well on its way to Disneyland. All-Star and Cy Young award winner Vince Garcia (P) Anaheim Angel started 6 playoff games going 3-2, with a 1.85 ERA (0.82 Whip, .166 OAV), but got no run support. Angel Anderson led the team during the regular season with 35 Home Runs and 119 RBI, 310 BA was a no-show in Anaheim’s 15 post-season games, hitting 3 HR while batting .262 and a pathetic .778 OPS.
The staff here at McCabe Magazine was all-in on the Angels. We were so infatuated with the Angels we had several members of the team take photos with World Series replica Rings to be used on the cover of McCabe Magazine’s post-season issue. Not so fast, said the 5 time champions from southern California. San Diego finished the post-season with a 14-5 record and a 2.71 ERA. Pitching Coach Peter Westbrook, the architect of the most dominating pitching staff in the majors, told us “they have Garcia and Adam Bradford (23-6, 2.21 ERA),.. What you guys forgot was we have Harper,  Asdrubal Pelaez (16-9, 3.06 ERA), Tom Pridie (post-season 4-0, 2.14 ERA), and 3 time Firemen of the Year Pedro Manuel (post-season 11 of 12 saves, 0.82 Whip, 1.23 ERA), we have won 8 pennants and 5 World Series,.. I don’t know what you guys are smoking, but you better stop, a mind is a terrible thing to waste.”
