Mariner's Ryan Donaldson (P) , Glenn Vaughn (P) and Chris Little (P)  combine to toss a one hit shutout of the Cubs at Safeco Field last Saturday before a sellout crowd of 47,943 on Cedrick Hollins, P Bobble Head Day, the Mariners longtime reliever and season 27 Hall Fame inductee.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting the Pirates are looking at signing serval arbitrational eligible players to long-term extensions. According to team sources pitchers Cedrick Glass (20-6, 3.18 ERA) and Jair Polanco (3-6, 35/40 Saves, 2.87 ERA) are team priorities. Both players have been to one arbitration hearing and should be easy signs however; both are looking for 5-year deals worth $10M and up.

Marlins R.A. Krause (2B) was 37-39 this year on SB's when Arizona catcher Sun Kang throws him out on both attempts in the 1-0 Marlins win.

The Royals have informed clubs any and everybody on the Major League roster is available. These are some of the players we think should draw considerable interest;

The Cardinals  waived 37 year-old Eugenio Jose (RF) to free up some cash to so sign prospects. The fan favorite was claimed by the Minnesota Twins and then traded to the Twins for a bag of rocks. The bag of rocks has a name, 20 year-old Rookie Leaguer Pascual Liz picked in the 23 round of the season 41 draft. Jose an IFA in season 23 played his entire career in the Cardinal organization, finishing his career in St. Louis with 2331 Hits 413 HR 1379 RBI 279 BA and a 845 OPS. If he continues his career next year it will be in the Twins minor league system.

Mariner’s owner mark3313 made these comments during his weekly radio show “I'm ready to break this team up and begin a rebuild.” The Mariners are currently in 3rd place in their division and on the verge of missing the playoffs for the first time in 13 years. When radio host Bob Costas grilled him on some of the questionable trades the past three years, Mr. mark3313 simply replied “I'm around if anyone wants to talk trade.”

The Washington D.C. Nationals signed IFA Sammy Henriquez (SS) a can’t miss talent and furfure All-Star to a $21,000,000.00 contract, of which many scouts say the 18 year-old from Distrito Nacional, DO was under paid. The 5’6’’ Henriquez nickname “Raton poderoso” translation Mighty Mouse can hit both righties and lefties for average and power, with above average speed. He is presently playing shortstop at Rookie Ball but should be best suited at third base or centerfield in the majors, with secondary positions listed as ALL OF THE ABOVE.

John Ma (1B) is upset with the Mariners front office after learning he was on the trading block earlier this season. To add to his frustration, Ma was also placed on the waiver wire late last year by Seattle.  He joined the Mariners in season 40 via a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers.  Oddly, Ma started his professional career with the Mariners in season 34 as an IFA. That same season he was placed on waivers and then resigned. The next season (35) he was traded to the Anaheim Angels. Twenty-four hours after landing in Anaheim he was told he had been traded to Milwaukee where he played 4 seasons. During those 4 seasons he was placed on waivers 5 times before being traded back to Seattle.

After losing their 12th game in a row the Red Sox announce that it was willing to trade starting pitching for relief pitching.

Oakland is taking offers on either pitchers William Durham (P) or John Maeda (P), two excellent middle relievers who can eat up a ton of innings. Unfortunately, they're stepping on each other's toes, so the Athletics want to move one. They prefer prospects but, will consider anything.
