TORONTO BLUE JAYS OVER THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

The Toronto Blue Jays will meet the Philadelphia Phillies in the fall classic, knocking off the defending champions in seven games, which will be their second championship in team history. Led by Hall of Famer Alexei DaSilva the Blue Jays captured their first championship in season 28, a four games to one World Series win over the Florida Marlins in season 28. That season DaSilva won his 4th MVP by knocking in 61 Home Runs, 157 RBI, 322 BA and a 1.068 OPS. This season the Blue Jays have a host of players ready to lead “We The North” to a Major League Championship. Toronto led the league in homers with 291 dingers in season 39 with five players hitting 30 or more, and the leader of the pack was former MVP Kenny Chambers. Last season the McCabe Magazine All-Pro catcher hit 52 home runs, 111 RBI along with a 304 batting average which helped the Blue Jays captured back to back division titles for the first time since they accomplished that feat in seasons 25 and 26.

Other big sticks on the roster are Alex Padilla, LF (37 HR, 88 RBI), Richie McCartin, SS (36 HR, 81 RBI),  Giancarlo Cisnero, RF (36 HR 83 RBI), Mariano Paniagua, CF (32 HR, 94 RBI, 290 BA), and 25-year-old DH John Johjima, (31 HR, 92 RBI, 292 BA). The Ace of the pitching staff is four (4) time American League Cy Young Award winner and eight (8) time All-Star Al Garces (19-7, 1.15 WHIP, 3.58 ERA), along with closer Jin Park, (5-3, 32 saves, 1.00 WHIP, 2.45 ERA) we are confident the season 40 Blue Jays will win the AL Pennant and jettison the Philadelphia Phillies, the defending champions in a seven game series.

The Philadelphia Phillies have enough talent to compete for another world championship. They also run out a daily lineup with multiple players (4) with 30+ Home Runs, Lyle Jordan 2B (38 HR, 130 RBI, 271 BA), Phil Sullivan CF (36 HR, 105 RBI, 284 BA), Juan Beltre C (35 HR, 92 RBI, 302 BA), Davey Parker RF (33 HR, 126 RBI, 316 BA).  However, the backbone of this squad is the pitching staff. This staff had three 18 winners and two 15 game winners last year with a team 1.26 WHIP and 3.72 ERA, both stats ranked 3rd in the major leagues. Top man in the rotation is Jumbo Rivera (15-8, 1.11 WHIP, 2.98 ERA) who will help the boys from the cheesesteak capital win the NL Pennant with a 4-2 series win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, our number 2 team in McCabe Magazine preseason rankings.
