Oakland Athletics defeat the San Diego Padres 4 games to 3 to win the World Series

It’s that time of year when we here McCabe Magazine unveil our season 17 predictions. After many days of analyzing the rosters and divisions in which each club reside, we have penciled in the World Series participants. It is our well informed and professional opinion that the Oakland Athletics will defeat the San Diego Padres 4 games to 3 in the S17 World Series. Second basemen Homer Henry will be named Postseason MVP.

Division Winners and Wildcard Teams

The division winners will be the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals, and the Oakland Athletics in the American League. In the NL we feel the division winners will be the Detroit Tigers, New York Mets, Richmond Virginians, and the San Diego Padres. The wildcard teams are the Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Colorado Rockies. The Athletics will knock off the Red Sox 4-2 to win the AL championship and the Padres will take the NL by beating Arizona 4-3.
