STUNNING

OAKLAND WINS FOUR STRAIGHT AND TAKES GAME SEVEN

Phoenix, Arizona (McC) – In a shocking and stunning turn of events, the Oakland Athletics (97-65) down 0-3, wins four straight against the heavily favorite Arizona Diamondbacks (106-56) to take the Robert E. McCabe World series trophy back to the Bay Area. Jolbert Veras was named McCabe Magazine Playoff MVP. Veras had 2 home runs in game seven and batted 304 with 6 home runs and 25 RBIs in the series. Also receiving considerable recognition was Oakland catcher Tony Zhang (415 BA, 525 OBP, and 1,125 OPS). Overlooked in the victory was a move by Oakland management at the end of season 14 was the contract extension to Tony Zhang, a 5-year $5,000,000 deal. Had Zhang hit the open market we be looking at a Cortes type deal. Congratulations to both, Arizona and Oakland. Great season and I hope all owners please return. Thanks for another great year.
